Does Brandon Vera have a Big Head?

Now, where to begin about Brandon Vera. That is right, he was considered one of the new and hyped-up fighters, riding upon an impressive 8 wins (2 in the WEC, 4 in the UFC and 2 outside the larger companies) and capping it off with a TKO victory over legend Frank Mir. However, after the impressive surge, Vera would receive a rude awakening from Tim Sylvia, who not only defeated Vera but broke his left hand in the first round. While it sucks to lose your left hand in a fight, Brandon probably should not have said these comments, "I'm ashamed to have been a part of it." He was talking about UFC 77 after the event was over.
Bad luck struck again for Vera when he faced off against Werdum and had to deal with what many believe is the worst referee in MMA today, Dan Miragliotta, who probably stopped the fight prematurely. Werdum was given the victory. After a win against Reese Andy, Brandon Vera loss a split decision to Keith Jardine. While his losses so far were nothing to be ashamed of,especially against top competition, most of the hype was dying down for Vera.
After the Keith Jardine fight, Vera won his next two fights, TKOing Mike Patt and out striking Krzysztof Soszynski all the way to a Unanimous Decision victory. Nevertheless, Randy Couture defeated Vera in what some called a controversial decision, including Vera himself, who thought he won.
But, there was a shiny light pouring down upon the bleak abyss from which Vera found himself and was given a new comer, Jon Bones Jones which surely he could defeat. Surely, a new fighter like Jones Bones would not be able to handle a veteran like Vera, (although, Jones had fought Stephen Bonnar, a veteran who he manhandled). Still, cockiness followed Vera all the way to a fractured skull (fractured in 3 different places and forced a piece of bone behind his right eye) from Johnny's elbow after he took Vera down. Before the elbow struck, Vera thought, 'Man, really? All the hype was about this guy? Man, you (expletive) suck.' Talk about a cold reality check.
Vera was quickly sent to the hospital, from which he revisited again and again for different surgeries to fix his face. But, these injuries would not deter Vera, who now believed that his cockiness was the reason he loss.
Vera would soon face his biggest challenge to date, Thiago Silva. This fight did not go well for Vera, who ended up with one of the worse broken noses I have ever seen in MMA. Vera was taken down multiple times by Thiago and slapped around like a school girl, even though Brandon was suppose to be the better wreslter.
Some may wonder, does Vera still have a big head?
